Seeing Whats Going On

During your regular visit every 4-6 months either Dr. Goodall or Van de Vyver performs an extensive and comprehensive examination of your teeth, gums, bite, joints and soft tissue. Your mouth manifests not only the state of your dental health but also much about your general health.

Drs. Goodall, Van de Vyver and the hygienists use high magnification loupes to view your teeth directly-seeing things that the unassisted eye would miss.

And, you can see magnified intra-oral pictures of your teeth on the computer monitor located by every chair.

When you need and want x-rays, these are done with digital x-ray cameras with extremely low radiation, only 10% of conventional x-ray cameras. And, our digital x-rays may be seen almost immediately on the computer monitor. Take-home copies of both the x-ray and intraoral pictures are available upon request.

We can also utilize a Diagnodent to detect caries (decay) that even the magnified direct visual exam, the intraoral camera and the x-rays might miss. The earlier tooth decay is detected, the less invasive and less expensive is the treatment necessary.
