Breath
Center
Everyone
has occasional malodorous breath from eating certain kinds of foods
but over twenty-seven million Americans suffer from bad breath chronically.
So what can we do?
Candy mints cannot cover up the odors of the bacteria for very long.
Candy mints are more successful in promoting tooth decay than dealing
effectively with halitosis. So how can we retain our beautiful smile
and kissable breath?
In our Breath Center, we begin by diagnosing where the problem originates.
At the Breath Center in our office, our professionals have been trained
to operate a unique complex unit called a halimeter. By breathing (not
blowing!) into the halimeter, the unit can measure the odors from your
mouth to see the level of your halitosis. Then, we diagnose the origin of the malodor.
The
most common source of halitosis is the tongue, cheek and gum areas of
the mouth. The food that is lodged into the little crevices of the mouth
foster the growth of bacteria that cause the malodors.
We can provide you with an antimicrobial product that will kill the
bacteria and we instruct you how to use it.
